Unstable Self-image
People with borderline personality disorder may have difficulty maintaining a consistent and coherent sense of themselves. An unstable self-image may manifest in various ways in a person with BPD. Their opinions, beliefs, and attitudes might shift rapidly, making them seem inconsistent or unpredictable. This inconsistency may extend to their relationships where they might alternate between extreme idealization and devaluation, reflecting their shifting self-perception.
