Larry Siever, MD
Larry Siever, MD received the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorder’s senior investigator award “in recognition of distinguished and pioneering contributions to the study of personality disorders”. Dr. Siever’s work provided the scaffolding for a new way of thinking about personality disorders and his work has been internationally recognized for decades.
He published more than 350 peer-reviewed papers. His ideas inspired a generation of investigators who study the neurobiology of personality disorders. Dr. Siever was the director Mood and Personality Disorders Program at Mount Sinai and the director of the Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Centers at the James J Peters VA Medical Center.
