Perry Hoffman, PhD was a dedicated clinician who fought for the rights people with Borderline Personality Diosrder and against the stigma so often directed towards their families. Recognizing the suffering of people with BPD and their families. Dr. Hoffman's work touched the lives of thousand of families and individuals throughout the world.
Dr. Hoffman founded the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder, also known as NEABPD, the leading BPD support organization with affiliates in many countries.

Realizing that a supportive family environment could have a positive impact on BPD symptoms, she and Alan Fruzzetti, PhD, developed the Family Connections program. Family Connections is a free course that provides education and skills to help manage borderline personality, to cope with BPD and to use Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills when dealing with their loved ones. The program enlists families to teach other families and is seen as a model across psychiatry and is available worldwide.
