Suicidal Behaviors
Borderline Personality Disorder can increase the risk of suicide. Suicide-related behaviors can include: suicide attempts- when a person self-injures with some intent to die; threats of suicide- an expression, verbal or non-verbal, indicating that a person is contemplating ending their own life; suicidal ideation (suicidal thoughts)- when a person thinks about or considers death or suicide.
